Proper socialization and training are key to ensuring your pup gets the best start in life. Our Puppy Socialization and Training Pre-School is designed with your pup in mind, and covers everything needed to help your pup grow into a well-adjusted, happy dog—all in a safe and nurturing environment.
About Our Puppy Pre-School
We've structured our Puppy Socialization and Training Pre-School to be convenient and effective for both you and your pup, with the schedule and requirements being:
- Total Program Time: 8 weeks
- Frequency: Twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, for a total of 16 sessions.
- Duration: From 10 AM to 3 PM (don't worry—you can drop off your puppy any time before or during those hours!)
- Requirements: Puppies must be up to date on their vaccines
Our pre-school is a trainer-lead group all day learning program, with ample time for play, rest, and lunch, ensuring pups stay engaged and happy throughout the day.
What Will Puppies Learn at Our Puppy Pre-School?
Through structured play, interactive lessons, and exposure to different environments and stimuli, we help your puppy grow into a confident and well-behaved dog. During their time, your pup will learn:
Life Skills and Acclimation
- Desensitization/reaction prevention to common sounds (such as hair dryers)
- Introduction to various environments, textures, and sounds
- Familiarization with grooming experiences with fieldtrips to our professional grooming spa
Grooming services can be added at any point during the program for an additional fee.
Socialization and Behavior Modeling
- Playtime and behavior modeling with our older daycare guests
- Socialization and proper behavior with various team members wearing different clothing, hats, and carrying large items.
- All Day Training
- Obedience commands – such as recall, stay, leave it, wait
- Name recognition
- Intro to leash walking
- Crate and potty training
- Appropriate playing
- Nipping prevention
When your pup graduates, keeping their training up to date can help them retain behaviors, learn more, and keep them happy and on schedule.
Post-graduation, we offer two types of training. The first is a one-hour, private, one-on-one training session with you, your puppy, and the trainer. The second is a thirty-minute day-training session between your pup and a trainer, which can be added to any daycare or boarding stay and includes a comprehensive report.
